Congratulations. While being the CEO of your veryown company can sound like a great thing, you should be aware that you should fully understand all about what is involved in a small business operation. The title is only the first step.

Your small business will initially take up lots of your time, especially if it is your first venture. But what exactly is a small business?

A small business is a business that is privately owned and operated. Your first business will be owned by you, and if you are in it by yourself then you will be the one who will also operate it. Small businesses have only a few employees, and sometimes only one employee, whereas larger businesses will have several hundreds or thousands.
